Welcome!
Hi, I’m Igor.
After nearly 40 years in IT—much of it in senior leadership at a major technology company—I had the opportunity to watch computing, storage, networking, and automation evolve from the front row.
I’ve always enjoyed building things. Woodworking and glass art were long-time hobbies, but home automation eventually stole the spotlight. I started with X10, explored Arduino and Tasmota, and ultimately found my home with ESPHome and Home Assistant. What drew me in wasn’t just the technology—it was the open-source philosophy and the incredible community behind it.
Like many makers, I still remember the excitement of that first blinking LED, the first relay clicking on, the first sensor reporting data, and the first automation that actually worked. Every success led to another project and another lesson.
This site is where I share those projects, ideas, and lessons to help others build, learn, and enjoy home automation, electronics, and IoT. Along the way, you’ll probably find a little woodworking, videography, and whatever else I’m experimenting with.
Thanks for stopping by—I hope you find something here that inspires your next project.
